Police in Wokingham Try And Trace Van Driver, Reports of driver with gun after cyclist injured following collision.

Latest statement from Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an incident in Wokingham on Wednesday night (7/9).

Between 9.30apm and 10.15pm at Elizabeth Park, Wokingham a member of the public has reported seeing a white van with ladders on the roof, driving erratically on the Wiltshire Road and appearing to chase a man on a bicycle.

The van has reportedly collided with the cyclist knocked him off the bicycle and then driven off. The member of the public went to check on the cyclist who said “He’s got a gun” before cycling off towards Norreys Avenue.

PC Benjamin Taylor of the Wokingham neighbourhood team, said: “There was a further report that night of someone in a white van pointing a gun and a knife and driving erratically. So we would urge anyone with any information about this van or who might have seen this incident in Wiltshire Road to contact us on 101.”
