Reading Woman Dies After Car Crashes Into Railings

A woman from Reading's died in hospital after her car crashed into railings in Bracknell.

The 50-year-old was driving a Nissan Qashqai which came off the A329 near the Coppid Beech Hotel in rush hour this morning.

Police are investigating.

Investigating officer Sergeant Grant Thomas of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Taplow, said: 

“This was a tragic incident which has sadly resulted in the death of a woman.

“This was a single vehicle collision and the woman who has died was the only occupant of the car.

“I am appealing for anybody who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage, to contact us.

“The woman’s next of kin have been informed and are currently being supported by specially trained officers.”
