Woodstock: Woman Found Injured

A woman has been found with serious head injuries serious head injuries at a house in Woodstock, Oxfordshire after coming home from a night out.

At around 2am yesterday morning police were called to an address in Browns Lane after receiving reports that a 41-year-old woman had sustained head injuries.

The woman has been taken to the John Radcliffe hospital and is currently in a serious condition.

Det Ch Insp Mark Johns, leading the investigation, said:

"We are in the early stages of the investigation and are currently trying to establish how the woman, who had just returned from a night out, became injured. We are keeping an open mind on how this injury occurred.

"There is currently a scene watch in place in Browns Lane to allow us to carry out a thorough investigation.

"I would like to appeal to anyone who might have information to help the police investigation, to contact us."
