A service of celebration's been held for a five year old Watford girl who's died after a long battle against brain cancer.
Luna Petagine (right) from Oxhey Hall died on Wednesday 8 August 2012. Her family had spent the last couple of years of her life trying to raise thousands of pounds to pay for specialist treatment in America.
Luna had been diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008, for which she received radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
A service to celebrate Luna's life was held at the West Herts Crematorium in Garston on the afternoon of Thursday 16 August 2012. Luna's family called it an event "for anyone who would like to celebrate our Luna."
People attending the service were asked to wear pink, and for donations in Luna's memory to be made to Luna's Community Appeal Fund.
On 8 August 2012, Luna's family posted the following on her website: "On behalf of Lucy and Mario It is with great sadness that we share with you that our Beautiful Luna fell asleep very peacefully with mummy and papa holding her tight to become a shinning star, and we thank her for all the wonderful memories she leaves with us, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support and love you have shown us in everything that you have done."
