Police investigating the theft of an iPad and six iPhones from shops in St Albans have released a picture of a man they want to speak to.

Both thefts happened at around 5.30pm on Wednesday 14 December 2011.  The iPad was taken from Solutions in The Maltings shopping centre while the iPhones were taken from CEX in French Row.

PC Matthew Wright is investigating and said "I would like to appeal to this man to contact police or to anyone who recognises him to call with information. It may be that he was witness to what happened or can assist with inquiries.

"It is believed there was more than one person involved in this crime and they may have been using a silver Vauxhall Astra. It may be you were in St Albans at this time and saw the vehicle or people acting suspiciously."

Anyone with information is asked to call Hertfordshire Constabulary using the non-emergency number 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
