Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing three young men who left the scene of a road traffic collision in which a man died.
The incident occurred at 1.20pm yesterday (Saturday July 16th) on the A41, Tylers Way in Watford.
A silver Audi and a white van were in collision. The man, who is in his 40s, was a passenger in the white van. Two other men in the vehicle were taken to Watford General hospital with injuries.
Three young men, who were believed to have been travelling in the Audi, left the scene before the emergency services arrived. One of the young men may also have been injured.
Police Inspector Andy Piper said: “We would urge anyone who hasn’t already spoken to police and who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles prior to the collision, to come forward.
“We are also appealing to anyone who may have seen these three young men moving away from the scene, possibly in a hurry.
“If you are one of those three, then we would urge you to get in touch.
“If you have any information, please call the police non-emergency number 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
