Teen Knocked Unconscious By Man In Taxi

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Sutton Road in St Albans on Friday, May 13.
Between 10.30pm and 11pm a 17 year old boy from St Albans and his two friends were walking along the road. They were approached by a taxi and the passengers started shouting abuse the group. One then got out of the taxi and punched the teenager. He fell to the floor unconscious and the offender got back into the taxi and it drove off.
The 17 year old was taken to QEII hospital in Welwyn Garden City for treatment. He has since been transferred to Addenbrookes.
The offender who punched the victim is described as a white man aged in his mid 20s to early 30s who was approximately 5ft 9ins tall. He is described as being of a stocky build with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a blue t-shirt.
The second suspect is described as being a white man aged in his mid 20s to early 30s who was approximately 5ft 5ins tall. He was of a slim build and had short ginger hair. He was wearing a black jacket and a t-shirt which was either red or brightly coloured.
Anyone who saw what happened, has information about the incident or believes they know who is responsible is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary quoting crime reference number F1/11/1908.
