Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a report of a sexual assault in Hemel Hempstead on Tuesday (June 7).
The incident is believed to have occurred in Market Square between 9pm and 9.35pm when it is alleged a man sexually assaulted a 17 year old girl at a bus stop.
Detective Inspector Steve Keating from the Sexual Offences Investigation Team is investigating and said: “I would reassure people that there we are conducting a number of enquiries into this incident to determine exactly what happened.
“We believe there were other people in Market Square at the time the incident took place and I would ask for anyone who was in the area and believes they saw anything to come forward.

A 28 year old man from Watford has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
