A wanted man has been arrested in Staffordshire after a 50 year old man was shot dead in Somerset
37-year-old John Broadway was taken in by police in Lichfield on suspicion of murdering Wilfred Issacs at Chubbards Cross caravan park in Somerset.
2 women are also being questioned on suspicion of helping an offender. A total of 7 people have been arrested over the double shooting on Thursday night.
50 year old Wilfred Isaacs died at the scene and a second man, in his 20s, was also shot but his injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.
Detective Superintendent Andy Bevan said:
"We're working round-the-clock to ensure we carry out a thorough and professional investigation into this horrific crime. The investigation has so far involved a whole range of resources including a large team of detectives, neighbourhood policing teams, armed officers and the National Police Air Service helicopter.
We're grateful for all the support we've been given by our neighbouring forces, as well as Staffordshire Police, whose assistance has helped us arrest the people wanted in connection with the shootings.
We're also continuing to look for the weapon used in this crime, which we believe to be a shotgun. If anyone knows where this weapon is they should call us immediately.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of these two should call us now on 999 and quote log number 1051 of May 5.''
