Absconder
Police are appealing to find an absconder and are asking for the public’s help to trace Shaun Higgins, aged 34, who is now wanted for recall to prison having breached the strict conditions of his parole licence.
Higgins, who was released on a lengthy licence under MAPPA arrangements on Tuesday 2 March 2010 due to his violent criminal history, has absconded from his designated address - a Birmingham bail hostel.
The nature of his persistent previous offending suggests that Higgins is a potential danger to the public and may commit further offences. A picture of him has been released.
He has connections with the Bristol area and but he could currently be anywhere in the UK.
He is described as black, 5ft 10ins tall, of medium and with a shaved head. In the past has let his hair grow and he occasionally wears a beard. Higgins is urged to hand himself in at his nearest police station.
Anyone with information about him, or who sees a man matching his description, is asked not to approach him but to contact police immediately by dialling 999.
Alternatively, if you have information about his possible whereabouts, contact officers at Queens Road police station, Aston, Birmingham via 0845 113 5000.
