It's thought almost two out of three carers in the UK are looking after loved ones without any support. A study for the Carers Trust has found most go years without asking for help.
Its estimated that in the UK there are six million unpaid carers and in Wolverhampton alone its thought that 26 thousand people are looking after friends or family who have physical or mental health needs.
This week 18th June - 24th June is Carers Week in the UK which aims to celebrates and recognises the contribution made by unpaid carers. The 2012 campaign has a special focus this year on the health and well being of carers.
