Concern Over Free Running In West Midlands

Police in the West Midlands have told Heart children aged as young as 12 are taking part in a dangerous sport called free running.

It's where people climb on top of buildings and jump between them.

We're told it's happening in Shrewsbury - and officers say online videos are glamourising it.

Superintendent Sue Thomas from West Mercia Police says it's up to parents to talk to their children.

She said: "I think the clear message has to be not just to those young people but urging parents to talk to their children about the danger of this activity.

"It's careless and it's thoughtless in terms of the danger it could cause as well."
