Three men in their twenties from Birmingham, accused of trying to smuggle themselves out of Britain in order to get to Syria, will go on trial in November.
Gabriel Rasmus, 29, Anas Abdalla, 26, and Mahamuud Diini, 25 were arrested in Dover having been found on the back of a lorry.
They are all accused of preparing acts of terrorism.
During a breif hearing at the Old Bailey Abdalla and Dinii appeared via video link.
A plea and case management hearing is now due to take place on 23 October with a trial scheduled at a court in London for 9 November.
Rasmus, of Stratford Road, Abdalla, of Fox Hollies Road and Diini, of Coventry Road, are on remand in custody.
