A Birmingham man accused of murdering two pensioners, including an 80 year-old in the West Midlands has been found dead.
33 year old Leo Barnes from Balsall Heath was on trial at Wolverhampton crown Court after being accused of the murder of 80 year-old Cynthia Beamond in her home in Halesowen last June.
He's also been charged with the murder of 67 year-old Phillip Silverstone who was found dead the next day at his flat in London.
Barnes was due to be cross-examined in court on Friday but didn't appear after complaining he didn't feel well.
West Midlands Police have confirmed he was found dead in his prison cell at HMP Hewell in Redditch yesterday morning.
An investigation is underway but officers say his death isn't being treated as suspicious.
