A 73-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a toddler was killed in Birmingham.
3-year old-Poppy Clarke died after being hit by a car on the Chester Road in Erdington whilst crossing the road with her mum on her bike.
Her mum, Rachel Clarke, was seriously injured.
It happened on the 6th June this year.
John Place, aged 73, from Sutton Coldfield, was charged by post on Saturday with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on the 7th December.
