New child safety scheme

Thousands of children in the Midlands will be getting newspapers delivered to their classrooms this half term from the police.

The West Midlands force is handing out 20,000 copies of their Safe Street News to 5 to 11 year olds.

They're trying to engage with kids to keep them safe and stop them getting involved in anti-social behaviour.

According to officers the aim of the bright and colourful edition is to steer youngsters towards the force’s new interactive kid’s website www.safestreet.info .
