Police investigating the disappearance of Coventry woman Nicola Payne have been searching a lake in a country park.
Nicola Payne went missing more than 20 years ago in 1991 following her disappearance as she walked to her parents' house.
West Midlands Police say they have been searching Coombe Abbey Country Park following a preliminary sonar examination of the lake by Home Office scientists.
They say they will carry out more once further analysis of the site takes place.
Detective Inspector Martin Slevin, who is leading the investigation into Nicola's disappearance said: “Two people have been charged with the murder of Nicola Payne and are currently remanded into custody awaiting trial.
"The investigation into what happened to Nicola remains on-going and officers will continue to follow-up any information which will help us find Nicola and bring closure to her family."
Any one with information is being asked to contact officers on 101, or via Crimstoppers anonymously on 0800 555 11.
