Stoke Girl In Surgery After Dog Attack
A six-year-old has been in surgery at Birmingham Children's Hospital after a dog attack in Stoke-on-Trent.
The girl was flown from the scene in Etruria by air ambulance on Saturday after suffering extensive injuries to her face.
Police say the youngster's condition is serious but not life threatening and her family are by her side.
The dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier has been taken to specialist kennels in Derbyshire.
