More than three million people in the West Midlands apparently think it's unfair that holiday companies charge more during the school summer break.
That's according to new research which suggest 2 million of us would support schools that let us take the kids away during term time.
In reality many parents are being threatened with fines if they take their children out of class during the school term.
Travel expert Kathryn Frengs was heavily involved in the research and she gave Heart a couple of her top tips:
- Package holidays are not always the cheapest - look at booking flights and accommodation separately it can save you lots of cash.
- Stay-cations at home aren't always the cheapest option as you can often spend more by not going abroad. Maybe consider destinations in Eastern Europe like Bulgaria Budapest and Hungry can be cheaper.
