The teenager had been in hospital since being reportedly stabbed in the neck outside Walsall Town Hall on Saturday night.
People in the venue described how a "skirmish" was sparked off inside, where people had gathered for the headline IBF Youth Lightweight Title fight.
However, serious violence spilled over outside, shortly before midnight.
Walsall disorder update – the injured teen has sadly passed away. This is now a murder enquiry. Our thought are with family and friends.

"At this stage we are unable to comment further."
Police want anyone who was there that night to get in touch.
