A woman who's mum died at the scandal hit Stafford hospital in 2007 has written a book about what happened.

Bella Bailey went into Stafford hospital for a routine operation, but 8 weeks later she died because of complications caused by poor care. Her daughter Julie (pictured) has written a book called 'Ward to Whitehall' which describes her mothers horrific experience.

A review into conditions and practices at the hospital between 2005 and 2008 criticised it's management and detailed appalling conditions and inadequacies in care there.

It's thought between 400 and 1,200 more people than expected died at the hospital during the 3 year period.

Bosses at Mid-Staffordshire NHS Trust say they are making improvements as they works with finance experts to sustain quality of care at the hospital.
