West Mercia Police were called to an address on Wednesday evening.
The unexplained death of a woman in Worcester is being treated as suspicious by police.
Officers were called to an address on Carnforth Drive at around 6:50pm on Wednesday (27th) to find the woman in her fifties dead at the scene.
West Mercia police say a thorough investigation has been launched - and residents can expect to see officers in the area today.
Detective Inspector Mark Roberts said:
"A thorough investigation has been launched and at this stage the death is being treated as unexplained and is believed to be suspicious.
"Officers remain at the scene of the property and we are currently exploring a number of lines of enquiry. We would ask if anyone witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to please come forward, and if anyone has any concerns or information we would ask them to approach and speak with an officer.
"There will be an increased policing presence in the area and I would like to reassure the community that we are conducting a thorough investigation.
"My thoughts are very much with the woman's family and friends at this difficult time."
