10 peaks in 10 hours

Wiltshire based charity The Mitchemp Trust are looking for 40 teams to climb 10 peaks in 10 hours next March, and help change the lives of local vulnerable young people.

The Mitchemp Trust’s Brecon Challenge, taking place on the 16th March 2013 in the Brecon Beacons National Park, will see teams face 10 mountains in 10 hours. Their aim; to give local vulnerable young people the hope, confidence and life skills to meet the challenges in their lives. Each team is challenged to raise £1,000 – helping more vulnerable young people experience the opportunity and benefits of being a part of our Youth Adventure Programme.

Tessa Woodrow, Operations Manager at the Mitchemp Trust said:

This is a chance for people from our local towns and businesses to make a difference to our community whilst also experiencing a tough but fun team challenge. Working together for a greater good, it’s a chance to change the lives of vulnerable young people in our community”.

The Mitchemp Trust provides young people from Swindon and Wiltshire the chance to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. They learn the importance of team work, develop communication and social skills, and grow the ability to make good decisions and take responsibility. These are the essential building blocks to help young people make a positive contribution to society in the future.
