Swindon: 18 Yr Old Female Motorcyclist Suffers 'Life Changing' Injuries

An 18 year old female motorcyclist from Swindon has 'life changing' leg injuries after a collision in the town.
Police say it happened shortly before 10.30pm on Monday night (6th April 2015) on the B4006 Ermin Street at the junction with Windbrook Meadow. A blue BMW 520D and a white Rieju Marathon 125cc motorcycle collided.
The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man from Swindon, was not injured. The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old woman from Swindon, suffered leg injuries described as life changing. She was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
Ermin Street was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the injured rider and investigations of the scene were carried out.
Police are asking for any witnesses to call PC Lee Prince from the Roads Policing Unit on 101 with any information.
