Man charged in connection with Calne stabbing

An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Calne on Monday.

Police were called out to reports of an assault in the car park at the Bremhill View Social Club. 

A 21-year-old man is in hospital. 

Joseph Beau Browne, of Braemor Road, Calne, has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent. He was also charged with possession of a class B drug. 

Browne has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court. 

Two other men, aged 19 and 20, who were also arrested in connection with the incident have been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
