Erlestoke Prison

A man has been spotted throwing a parcel over the fence at Erlestoke prison.

It happened shortly after 3pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday 21st November).

He was seen running up to the prison fence line and throwing a small white package into the grounds. He then ran in between two vehicles.

Detective Constable Cerys Powell said: "We believe the suspect was wearing a black hoodie and black trousers and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who was driving in the area and may have a dash cam fitted to their vehicle which could have footage of the suspect - this would be really useful to our investigation. The package was retrieved by staff and sent for forensic analysis. Our enquiries remain ongoing."

Anyone who can help should phone Wiltshire Police on 101 and quote the reference number 54180103590.
