Police are telling Heart an 18 year old woman was dragged to the ground by a man as she was walking to work in Swindon.
It happened at 6pm on Saturday (24th/01/15) on the path that runs along the athletics track, between County Road and Shrivenham Road.
The teenager was walking to work when she was approached from behind by a man.
Police say the man dragged her to the floor by her handbag strap and they struggled. The woman managed to escape and the man ran off in the direction of Shrivenham Road.
The victim sustained minor head and facial injuries during the assault, but she didn't need to go to hospital.
