Phil Brown has been sacked as manager of Swindon Town.

He took over the job in March, but the club has won just one of their last eight games in the league.

Here's the club's statement: 

Swindon Town Football Club can today confirm that Phil Brown, has been relieved of his duties as First-Team Manager. 

Assistant Manager, Neil McDonald will also be leaving the club with immediate effect. 

Swindon Town Football Club would like to put on record its thanks for the efforts of Phil and Neil in their time at SN1, and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
