Swindon: Two Women Seriously Injured In Crash

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Swindon on Wednesday 27th November.

At approximately 9.30am a two vehicle serious road traffic collision occurred on the A3102 at Swindon between the Blagrove and Mannington roundabouts.

A black Mazda being driven by a 57-year-old woman from the Haydon Wick area towards junction 16 of the M4 veered onto the Swindon-bound carriageway where it struck a red Seat being driven by a 40-year-old woman from the Christian Malford area.

The Mazda driver was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with serious internal injuries.
 
The Seat driver was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon with a suspected punctured lung.

The collision is being investigated by PC Steve Cox of the Wiltshire Police Serious Collision Investigation Team based at Police Headquarters Devizes.
