Cannabis plants found in Wirral raid

Police have found cannabis plants and the tools to manufacture the drug during a raid at a house on the Wirral.

The property in Rock Ferry was raided last week.

The address in Haddon Road, was searched on June 30 and a number of cannabis plants along with cultivation equipment was seized.

A 22-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and other drug offences. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Constable Stewart Lawson said:

"These raids are the result of information coming directly from the community and I hope that officers, working with partners and the public, will continue to make a real difference.

"Drugs have a negative impact on the whole community and we currently have a multi-agency approach to issues such as drugs and anti-social behaviour in the area.

"I want to hear from anyone with information about the area, and I can assure you that I am determined to do all that can be done to improve the lives of people in the area."
