Body found in car had been shot and stabbed

Cheshire Police say A man whose body was found in a car outside a police station had been shot and stabbed.

Officers found 49 year old Thomas Martin Ithell  in the vehicle outside Blacon Police station in Chester in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Two people have been charged with the murder of Martin Ithell.

22 year old Scott Davidson, of Hawthorne Road, Frodsham, and 20 year old Rachael Horton, from Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, have been charged with murder and are due to appear at Chester Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 15 March 2011.

The family of a Martin Ithell, who was found dead outside a police station in Chester have paid tribute.

His partner Sarah, brother Jimmy and niece Melissa said: “Martin was a wonderful partner to Sarah, son to Megan, brother to Jimmy, uncle to Melissa, and brother-in-law to Vanessa.

It is so unfair and totally devastating that the kindest, loving and most generous man has been so cruelly taken from us.

We will all miss him so much and just cannot come to terms with what has happened.  Martin was always there to help anyone who needed him, and he will never be forgotten by his family, and many many friends."
