Llangollen Pavilion re-opens

Llangollen's biggest concert venue is re-opening later with management promising to bring in bigger and better acts.

The Pavilion has recently undergone a £1.6 million pound refurbishment from the Welsh Assembly Government and Denbighshire Council.

The work includes a new roof canvas, restaurant standard kitchen facilities, enhanced conference services, improved lighting and sound systems in the main hall, creating a more versatile performance venue, and better car parking.

Elin Williams from the Pavilion says:

'We want to make the Pavilion a world class venue. We had big music acts such as Stereophonics and The Manic Street Preachers before. Now that's been a while since that has happened so we now want to attract those big touring bands and comedians to come back to the Pavilion.'
