Charges Over Leeds Children's Homes Abuse Claims

Two men have been charged with historical offences relating to physical and sexual abuse at a children's home in Leeds.
Graham Walker, aged 76, of Cross Gates, Leeds, has been charged with 17 counts of indecent assault, abuse and sex attacks..
Lawrence Dean, aged 82, from North Yorkshire, has been charged with two indecent assaults and one sex attack.
Both men are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Friday, June 12.
The charges relate to incidents at Whinmoor Children’s Home, in Leeds, in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
The men were arrested as part of Operation Polymer, which is an ongoing investigation into abuse at children’s homes in Leeds.
Eleven other men have been arrested as part of the investigation and are currently on police bail.
