Helping North Devon's Jobless Young Adults

4 hundred 18-24 year olds are unemployed and claiming benefits in North Devon.

But a new scheme has been launched at Barnstaple fire station to help build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, improve communication skills and increase motivation.

It lasts for 7 weeks and includes hose running, use of breathing apparatus, road traffic collision drills and basic first aid.
