Officers say he is white, in his 40s, short, of heavy build and has fair hair.

He was wearing light blue jeans and a green or khaki T-shirt.

The 28-year-old woman reported that the assault happened soon after midnight on Saturday September 13th in the Spring Lane area.

They walked down to the bottom of Spring Lane where they parted, the woman heading for a footpath behind Uphill Road.
