Murder Charge For Peri Peri Shooting
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting at Peri Peri chicken in Midland Road, Bedford.
Police say the 34 year old victim and his girlfriend were in the shop at about 1.50am on Wednesday 23rd November.
Three young Asian men pulled up in a dark saloon car near the shop, got out and entered the shop via the front door. One man was armed with a shotgun, and fired it at the victim. All three men then got back in the car and drove off towards the town centre.
Some pellets from the shotgun hit the victim in the face, although fortunately the wounds were superficial and the man made his own way to hospital for treatment.
The 16 year old boy has been remanded in custody.
