Woman Tied Up By Masked Burglars

Police have told Heart a woman has been tied up by four masked men who threatened her with a gun as they searched her home in Kempston.

It happened at 10pm on Tuesday 28th May when four masked men entered her home on Bunyan Road and threatened her with a gun.

They demanded money and searched the property before leaving the scene.

The victim managed to get out of the house and in to the back garden from where she raised the alarm with neighbours who came to her aid.

Three of the offenders were wearing balaclavas and the fourth wore a scream mask. 

The officer in charge of this investigation, Detective Constable Mia Hewitt, is keen to trace anyone who saw four masked men in the area.

DC Hewitt said: “Clearly this was a shocking experience for the victim who has been left with severe bruising from this ordeal. Bunyan Road is a busy area of Kempston and I am appeal to members of the public in the area to come forward and speak with the police if they remember seeing a group of four men acting suspiciously in the area.”
