Bridgwater Carnival 2013

Thousands of people are predicted to flock to Bridgwater for this years carnival. Heart has all the details you need to plan a fantastic trip to the Bridgwater Carnival

Dig out your hats, gloves and scarfs and prepare for one of the biggest and most exciting events in the Somerset social calendar. The bright lights of Bridgwater Carnival are about to shine and Heart has everything you need to plan a fantastic night with the family.

A grand firework display will kick off the celebrations on Friday 1st of November then on Saturday 2nd of November street entertainment will begin from 10.30am. The main carnival procession will start at 7pm from the A39 Bath Road. The full route can be seen here. It will take 2 and half hours for all the floats to pass you regardless of where you watch the floats. The evening will finish up with the world famous squibbing at 10.45pm.

Look out for the Heart Angels who will be in the procession on the evening with their street dancers, taking hundreds of photos along the route. You can check back here after the carnival to see if you've been snapped.
