Friday 9th August Almost ABBA Gig 8.30pm at Great Stukeley Village Hall PE28 4AQ (doors open 8pm).  Licensed bar.  Hot dogs and hamburgers for sale in break.  Tickets £10 available on door or from Sarah Toyn 07961 358067. Dress up if you feel like it - prizes for best outfits.

Saturday 10th August Family Fun Day 11am - 2pm at Watergall Primary School Family Fun Day with lots of activities for young and old alike.

Monday 12th - Friday 16th Wisbech Town CC Community Cricket Week Open to boys and girls aged 7-16. There are a number of different events including a 3 day Coaching Academy, IPL, games, evening matches and presentation evening. Thursday 15th August 11am - 3pm Keep Calm and Carry On. World War II activities at Ely Museum. Drop in anytime and join in the fun. Make do and mend, knitting, taste vinegar cake and other delicacies, make a WWII toy. Learn about rationing and foods eaten during the war in talks by Ann Jarman from The Old Fire Engine House Restaurant. Talks at 11.30am and 2pm. Normal admission charge.

Sunday 18th August Macmillan family fun day! Ferry Meadows, Peterborough 10-2 Sports day races, birds of prey experiences, wood turning, dance & gymnastics displays, face painting, caricature artist, beautician, activity area, competitions and lots more!! Bring the family along with a picnic! Make a day of it whilst raising money for macmillan cancer support!

Wednesday 21st August 10am - 2pm Community Event. Garden Party-theme with lots of activities taking place. The event is FREE runs between 10am-2pm, combining our popular Parent’s Meet Up and CAMEO (Come Along and Meet Each Other) friendship club activities.   Come along on your own, or bring a friend, colleague or relative.  Free food and refreshments provided.

Saturday 24th - Monday 26th August 9:30am - 5pm More Creatures Great & Small art and craft event at All Saints Church Moulton (near Spalding just off A151) Local artists at work, crafts, demonstrations all on animal theme, proceeds to animal charities, refreshments served throughout.

Friday 23rd August – 26th August Bank Holiday Bash – at The Axe, Ashdon Road, Saffron Walden. Come and enjoy a BBQ Live Music, Locally made ice creams, a children's Bouncy Castle and Play Area in an enclosed mature garden. Plus a massive selection of Traditional Ciders and Real Ales.

Thursday 29th August Activity Day. Peterborough U3A one of Peterborough's largest organisations for retired and semi retired people is holding it's Activity Day on Thursday 29th August at Jack Hunt School, Ledbury Road, between 11 am & 4 pm, new prospective new members are welcome.

Saturday 31st August PYC Boat Club Charity day, fun day Boat trip Buffet lunch entertainment for all the family Enjoy a day by the river, seeing wonderful sights and wildlife. Tickets on sale now contact 07858 025636. All money raised will go to PCH radiotherapy cancer department.

Saturday 31st August Summer Coffee Morning From 10am - 12:30pm at The Hester Adrian Centre, Hawthorn Way, Cambridge. Assorted stalls. Admission is free! Everyone is welcome so come along with your friends. All in aid of Cambridge Phab (physically disabled/able bodied Club.

Saturday 31st August Live Music 7:30pm - 12:00am at Witchford Village hall CB6 2JN. Live music from you tube sensation Matty Fletcher, Sammy K's All Star tribute show and Alan Thompson. Magic performed by Those Magic Guys, raffle and hog roast and bar !! Raising money for EACH children's hospice and Brainwave. Organised by Team Jacum, a group of family and friends who are raising money in memory of a very special little boy. Jacob was from Sutton near Ely and sadly passed away last year aged 16 months.
