Firework Safety Advice
Bonfire night is great fun for all the family. But don't forget to follow a few simple tips to make it a safe and enjoyable night…
- Always keep pets indoors, and let your neighbours know if you're planning a display
- Remember the Firework Code
- Keep fireworks in a closed box, and use them one at a time
- Light fireworks at arm's length with a taper and stand well back. Never return to a firework once it's been lit.
- Never put fireworks in your pocket or throw them
- And don't forget, it's usually cheaper and safer to go to an organised display instead of organising your own
