Police are holding an open evening in Cambridge tonight (Friday) for people who were victims of a series of connected cycle thefts in the city.

The event comes after a haulf of 36 stolen bicyles, along with tyres, frames and other bicycle equipment was discovered at two addresses in Cambridge at the end of August.

Police say they hope tonight's event will see more cyclists reunited with their property.

So far, only a "handful" of victims have come forward to claim their bikes.

Inspector Steve Poppitt told Heart: "I would urge anyone who has had their bicycle stolen in Cambridge in recent months to come along to Parkside tonight".

The event starts at 6pm (until 8pm) at Parkside Police station in Cambridge.
