Police have released image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in Cambridge.

A 42 year-old woman was attacked in the Stourbridge Common area in the early hours of Saturday, July 30.

She had left friends on Parker's Piece at around 3.40am when she was approached by a man offering her directions home.

He offered to show her the way and she walked with him for some time.

At 4.30am they reached an area of Stourbridge Common across the railway line at the back of the Ditton Fields estate. The man then attacked her and stole her handbag.

The attacker made off with a large burgundy shoulder bag containing a black iPhone 3, a cheque book, an address book, a purse, bank cards and a small amount of cash.

The woman was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital for treatment for "serious" injuries.

Now police have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the robbery.
