East Cambridgeshire: Burglary Arrests

Three men have been arrested in connection with a number of burglaries over the weekend in East Cambridgeshire.

Burglaries were reported on Saturday morning in The Chase and Dovehouse Close in Ely, along with four attempted break-ins in Yorke Way and one in Dovehouse Close.

Then, in the early hours of Sunday, there was a burglary in King's Parade in Soham and attempted break-ins in Station Road in Haddenham and Brook Street and Orchard Row in Soham.

Following these reports, three men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Police tried to stop a vehicle in Stuntney just after 2am today (Monday), however it did not stop for the officers and the people inside it got out and ran off.

However they were arrested after the police helicopter was called to assist the search in nearby fields.

The men, aged 18, 19 and 21, are all in custody at Parkside Police Station.
