A suspicious package found at Ely Police Station has turned out to be a hoax bomb.
The device was spotted by a member of the public at around 10am.
A cordon was then set up around the building in Nutholt Lane and bomb disposal experts from RAF Wittering were called to investigate.
Tests revealed that the device was a hoax and the cordon was later lifted.
A police investigation into where the device came from has now started.
