Haverhill: Murdered Man Named
Police have named a man found dead in Haverhill as 77 year old Paul Norfolk.
Suffolk Police have told Heart, a member of the public called them at around 10:05pm on Friday (30th December) - reporting concern for the welfare of a resident in Castle Lane.
When police arrived at the house, they failed to get a response and then forced their way inside - and discovered Mr Norfolk's body inside.
A woman was also found inside with a head injury and was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital for treatment.
She's now been released from hospital and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning after being arrested on suspicion of murder.
A post mortem has revealed that Mr Norfolk died as a result of head injuries.
