Huntingdon: Man Jailed For Assaults
A man who raped a woman and a teenage girl has been jailed for six years.
Luke Maltby, 18, of Goodliff Close, Huntingdon, was convicted of both attacks following a trial at Peterborough Crown Court.
In the latest offence, in July 2010, he raped a 15-year-old girl in Huntingdon after plying her with alcohol. That followed an attack on a 23-year-old woman at an address in the town earlier the same month.
Maltby denied both offences but was convicted following a trial. He was jailed for six years at Peterborough Crown Court on Friday.
Detective Sergeant Amerjit Singh said: "This was a traumatic experience for both victims who showed great courage in going to court and giving evidence against Maltby.
"He is a sexual predator who preyed on vulnerable females."
"Hopefully the sentence reflects the severity of his offending and serves as a warning that anyone who commits such criminality faces a lengthy prison sentence."
