Launceston: Elderly Woman Confronts Burglar

An elderly vulnerable woman confronted a burglar in her own home in Cornwall.

She saw a man in the hallway of her property, when she confronted him, he stated that he was selling tea towels and quickly left. 

It happened at around 2pm on Wednesday 11th December at a property in Lynher Way, North Hill near Launceston. 

After the man had left, the victim discovered that a large sum of cash had been stolen from her bedroom. 

The suspect is described as being a white man, medium build, approximately 5ft 8ins in height, clean shaven with short fair hair. 

He was dressed in smart dark clothing and was carrying a small dark bag. 

Police are appealing for anyone who saw a man in the area at the time or anyone who has information as to the identity of the suspect.
