Pedestrian In Collision With A BMW On The Avenue On Friday Night
CCTV Released After Knife Attack
Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after an assault in the town centre – with officers releasing an image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Between 2am and 2.10am on Saturday 7 April 2012 a 29-year-old man from Poole was assaulted by another man with a knife outside the Alika night club in Hurn House along Christchurch Road.
The victim, who sustained superficial cuts to his stomach, was taken to Poole hospital and later released.
Detective Constable Ken Todd, of Bournemouth CID, said:
"Following further enquiries, I am now able to release an image of a man that I would like to speak with.
"I would urge the man pictured – and anyone who recognises him – to contact me, in confidence.
"I am also appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, and anyone with any information about the person responsible, to contact police as soon as possible."
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 7:42. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
Officers say many of those were after people didn't secure their car properly.
James Hemming pleaded guilty to wounding with intent after a 17-year-old girl was badly injured in Fratton.
Dorset and Hampshire officers will be carrying out extra patrols until New Year's Day.
