Girl Attacked In Subway In Poole

police in Poole are appealing for witnesses after a young girl was grabbed by a man in the Alderney area.

It happened sometime between 3.30pm and 4.10pm on Friday 8 February 2013 in the subway on Ringwood Road near the Alderney roundabout.

The victim, a 15-year-old girl from Poole, was approached by an unknown man who grabbed her arm and tried to pull her away.

She was able to struggle free and run away. She wasn't hurt.

Detective Constable James Batty, of Poole CID, said: “This has been very upsetting for the young victim, and she has been left extremely scared.

“The motives of the offender are not known at this time.

“He is described as a white man aged between 20 and 40, around five feet five inches tall with light brown coloured stubble, and wearing a hooded top.

“I would ask witnesses and anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they might be able to assist with the investigation.”
