Police in Poole have released new CCTV images after a poppy appeal collection tin was stolen from a shop in the Branksome area.

Officers are renewing their appeal for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward – with the images of two people they wish to speak with.

The incident happened at around 1.15pm on Monday 4 November 2013 at the Co-op on Ashley Road.

It is believed those responsible purposely knocked the charity tin onto the floor, placed it into a bag and walked out of the store.

It is unknown how much money was inside.

Police Sergeant Simon Perry, of Poole police, said:

“Following extensive enquiries, I am now able to release two further CCTV images of a man and a woman I would like to speak with in relation to this theft.

“I urge those pictured or anyone who recognises them to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible


“Staff at the store were shocked by this incident, and we are very keen to find those responsible.

“I would like to thank the public for their assistance so far.”

No arrests have been made.
